The Republic of Armenia has received financing in the amount of US$ 22,500,000equivalent from the World Bank toward the cost of the Judicial Reform Project 2, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payments for Dilijan Courthouse technical designing and supervision related consulting services to be procured under this project. The courthouse will be located in Tavush Marz of Armenia. This project will be jointly financed by the Japanese Government and the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The proposed consulting services are expected to be carried out over approximately a six month period starting from 1 August 2007. The assignment is expected to:

• ·  Conduct technical and geological investigation of the site proposed for construction.
• ·  Draft and draw full set of architectural, technical and engineering designing documentation in accordance with the design standards applicable to courthouses.
• ·  Conduct full technical expertise of the proposed designing documentation.
• ·  Implement construction site supervision during the construction process.

The Judicial Reform PIU of the Ministry of Justice now invites eligible consultants (architectural and engineering firms) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the Services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, information on registration or residence, etc.). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004 edition.
